Baseball Recap: Rural Retreat Indians vs. Honaker Tigers
Rural Retreat lost against Honaker back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Trever Shelton was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Shelton wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jay Snavely, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
