Basketball Recap: Renton Takes a Loss

Renton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Skyline Spartans, falling 60-26. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Spartans are ranked 87th).

Renton's record is now 2-17. As for Skyline, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Renton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Skyline, they will welcome Redmond at 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Redmond knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Skyline likes a good challenge.
