Basketball Recap: Grenada Find Success

Grenada won the last time they faced South Panola and things went their way on Thursday too. The Grenada Chargers pulled ahead with a 66-65 photo finish over the South Panola Tigers. The Chargers didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Leading Grenada to victory were Braylon Hardiman and Zayion Cotton. Hardiman posted 16 points, while Cotton scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Antonio Scott, who had ten points.

Grenada's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for South Panola, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Grenada and South Panola could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. Grenada will challenge Saltillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 142 places (190 vs. 48). Meanwhile, South Panola (ranked 171st) will meet Lake Cormorant (ranked 44th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
