Softball Game Preview: McDonald Blue Devils vs. Lowellville Rockets

For the second straight game, McDonald will face off against Lowellville. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDonald's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Lowellville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, McDonald earned a 5-1 victory over Lowellville. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Aubrey Evans made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

Evans wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Mancini, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Marissa Colarich was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
