Baseball Recap: Switzerland County Comes Up Short

If Switzerland County was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Rising Sun on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pacers fell just short of the Brownstown Central Braves by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Carson Byrd made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Switzerland County's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Brownstown Central, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Coincidentally, Switzerland County and Brownstown Central will both be playing Eastern Greene the next time they take the field. The Pacers will head out to face the Thunderbirds at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
