Soccer Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Oswego

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oswego walked away with it. They skirted past the Waubonsie Valley Warriors 3-2. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Oswego's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Waubonsie Valley are ranked 91st).

Oswego pushed their record up to 20-4-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those seven matchups. As for Waubonsie Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10-5.

Oswego has already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Naperville North on the 24th. Waubonsie Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
