 Faith Christian is 1-9 against Rocky Mount Academy since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Faith Christian Patriots will head out on the road to  take on  the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles at 6:30  p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Faith Christian comes in on six and Rocky Mount Academy on three.
 On Thursday, Faith Christian made easy work of St. David's  and carried off  a  14-3 victory. That's two games straight that Faith Christian has won by  exactly 11  runs.
  Tanner Trevathan and  Dylan Morgan were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Trevathan   struck out six batters over  4.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Morgan   tossed 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At the plate,  Trevathan  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4, while  Morgan  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Faith Christian let  Adam Creef and  Noah Mayo loose on the outfield. Creef  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while  Mayo  went 1-for-1 with a  home run and three  RBI. Creef is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.  Vincent Wilson was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Rocky Mount Academy made easy work of John Paul II Catholic  on Monday and carried off  an  11-3 win. With that  victory, Rocky Mount Academy brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
 Like Faith Christian, Rocky Mount Academy also got a great game from a two-way player:  Seth Tickel. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over four innings pitched. Tickel was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Luke Holloman, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Donaven Wright, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
 Faith Christian has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record  this season. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster.
