Soccer Recap: East Union Find Success

East Union won the last time they faced Central Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The East Union Lancers beat the Central Catholic Raiders by a goal, winning 3-2. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Raiders are ranked 961st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hugo Reyes and Alexis Machuca scored all three of East Union's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Central Catholic, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Union will challenge Manteca at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Catholic, they will face off against Sierra at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
