Volleyball Recap: Heritage Wins Going Away Against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy

Heritage had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Pineapple Cove Classical Academy on Monday. The Panthers blew past the Patriots 3-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Heritage took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-10, 25-3.

Layla Crespo-Delgado was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 22 aces and five kills. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Eva Vuichard, who had six aces and five kills.

They weren't the only good servers: Heritage was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 39 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
