Soccer Game Preview: Ringgold vs. Adairsville

Ringgold hasn't had much luck against Adairsville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Ringgold will square off against Adairsville at 5:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ringgold challenged Gilmer on Monday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Bobcats. While losing is never fun, Ringgold can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Gilmer are ranked 169th).

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Adairsville and Woodland, and Adairsville kept the tradition alive. The Tigers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 4-2 two weeks ago.

Adairsville pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four games. As for Ringgold, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Ringgold might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Adairsville when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Ringgold avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
