Grafton has gone 8-2 against Lafayette recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Clippers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Grafton sitting on four straight victories and Lafayette on three.

Grafton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Jamestown on Friday. The Clippers were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Clippers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Lafayette had no trouble coming through when it counted. They beat Heritage on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1.

Quinn Walton was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Lafayette: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Ji, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lafayette was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only posted a batting average of .118.

Grafton pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Lafayette, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Everything went Grafton's way against Lafayette in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Grafton made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Clippers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
