Basketball Recap: King's Ridge Christian Victorious

King's Ridge Christian had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 46-45 victory over the Landmark Christian War Eagles.

Despite the loss, Landmark Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amara Knowles went 6 of 13 on her way to 18 points and five steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Knowles. Cahrden Brown also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.

King's Ridge Christian's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Landmark Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Whitefield Academy the next time they take the court. Landmark Christian will host Whitefield Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while King's Ridge Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
