Softball Recap: Lawrence Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Lawrence barely beat Oceanside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs never let the Mariners get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lawrence pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Oceanside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Lawrence will face off against Winslow at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Black Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Oceanside will be paying especially close attention to Lawrence's matchup: after Lawrence faces off against Winslow, they'll take on Oceanside again at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
