While Bristol Eastern's win against Newington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Nor'easters 3-2. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Nor'easters on Monday, too.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Bristol Eastern who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-9.

Bristol Eastern moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Newington, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Bristol Eastern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against RHAM on the 17th. As for Newington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against South Windsor on the 18th.
