Softball Game Preview: Washington County Commanders vs. Caverna Colonels

The Washington County Commanders will venture away from home to take on the Caverna Colonels at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington County has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Washington County is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to Nelson County. Considering the last time the Commanders couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Washington County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addi Abell, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Caverna's offense. They came up short against Christian Educational Consortium on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Colonels have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Washington County's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Caverna, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
