Unioto skates past Southeastern with ease

Recap: Unioto Shermans vs. Southeastern Panthers

The Unioto Shermans stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Southeastern for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-21 victory on the road. Given Unioto's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Southeastern is ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Milee Smith was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amaris Betts, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

Unioto's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Southeastern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Unioto will look to defend their home court on Thursday against McClain at 8:00 p.m. McClain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Southeastern, they will head out on the road to square off against South Point at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
