Baseball Game Preview: Douglass Astros vs. Stephenson Jaguars

The Douglass Astros will square off against the Stephenson Jaguars at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Douglass made easy work of Stone Mountain and carried off a 15-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Astros.

The team relied heavily on Jamarius Glover, who scored three runs and stole six bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Royer Alejandro Bello was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Glover wasn't the only one making solid contact: Douglass kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Astros are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Stephenson faced off against Luella on Monday. The Jaguars lost 14-3 to the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jaguars have suffered since March 15th.

Douglass' win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Stephenson, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.
