Recap: Bedford Bisons vs. Chestnut Ridge Lions
The Bedford Bisons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Chestnut Ridge, falling 90-62. While losing is never fun, Bedford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 589th, while Chestnut Ridge is ranked 82nd).
Despite the loss, Bedford still got an impressive performance from Jacob Wilson, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Wilson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Taylor, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Bedford has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Chestnut Ridge, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.
Bedford will be playing in front of their home fans against Forest Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bedford is coming into the matchup with ten straight losses at home, meaning Forest Hills will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Chestnut Ridge, they will head out on the road to take on Richland at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Chestnut Ridge is coming into the match with five straight wins on the road, so Richland is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
