Volleyball Recap: Hopkinsville Comes Up Short

Hopkinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the University Heights Blazers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Hopkinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for University Heights, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hopkinsville will head out to take on Hopkins County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for University Heights, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Campbell at 6:30 p.m. on September 2.
