Volleyball Game Preview: York Dukes vs. New Trier Trevians

The York Dukes will face off against the New Trier Trevians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. York is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Thursday, York beat Leyden 2-0.

The win didn't come easy: Leyden scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for New Trier, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Evanston by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Trevians in their matchups with the Wildkits: they've now won five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17.

New Trier pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for York, their victory bumped their record up to 21-6.

York was able to grind out a solid win over New Trier in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Dukes repeat their success, or do the Trevians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
