Soccer Game Preview: Tolman vs. Cumberland

The Tolman Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cumberland Clippers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tolman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Moses Brown, who was ranked third at the time (Tolman was ranked 23rd). The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quakers on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Cumberland's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Portsmouth by a score of 2-1.

Cumberland's goal came courtesy of Jayden Lawrence, which was the first he's scored this season.

Cumberland's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5-3. As for Tolman, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1.
