Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo Comes Up Short

Cabrillo lost against Mission College Prep back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Conquistadores came up short against the Royals, falling 3-0. The Conquistadores have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-13.

Brady Smith paced Cabrillo's offense, picking up three kills. Smith got some help from Jazlene Brady and her four assists. Brady also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madison Core, racking up three apiece.

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 9-11-1. As for Mission College Prep, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Cabrillo and Mission College Prep will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Conquistadores will square off against rival Pioneer Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mission College Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe San Luis Obispo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
