It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Medford can now relate to. They fell 5-1 to the Southridge Skyhawks on Monday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Jordan Knutson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Shelby Hillyer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

South Medford's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Southridge, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

As of now, neither South Medford nor the Skyhawks have any future games scheduled.
