Basketball Recap: Thomasville Falls to North Rowan in First Game of Season

Thomasville had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. The game between the Bulldogs and the North Rowan Cavaliers didn't end well, with the Bulldogs falling 86-71. The Bulldogs were up 41-27 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Thomasville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jay Jackson, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Zy'Iveon Holmes, who earned 15 points.

Carter Williams was nothing short of spectacular for North Rowan: he dropped a double-double with 40 points and ten boards. Those 40 points gave Williams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Massenburg, who scored 22 points.

Thomasville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-63 win against Glenn on the 21st. As for North Rowan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-49 loss against West Rowan on the 25th.
