Softball Recap: Hinckley-Finlayson Takes a Loss

Hinckley-Finlayson fell victim to Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Raiders. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Jaguars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hinckley-Finlayson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Violet Albrect, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Hinckley-Finlayson now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Hinckley-Finlayson will take on Moose Lake/Willow River at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, they will venture away from home to challenge International Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
