Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Segerstrom

After losing to California the last time they met, Segerstrom decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Jaguars' pitchers stepped up to hand the Condors a 1-0 shutout on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Issac Acosta looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Segerstrom saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jullian Hernandez, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Segerstrom's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Segerstrom has already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Los Amigos on the 29th. As for California, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-0 win against Nogales on the 31st.
