Dunwoody extends road losing streak to nine

Recap: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Etowah Eagles

This season hasn't been kind to the Dunwoody Wildcats, who are still winless after their 17th contest. They took a serious blow against Etowah on Saturday, falling 69-9. Dunwoody was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

Lilah Wenner was Dunwoody's leading scorer, having posted five points. Allison Gomez-ambrocio held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.

Dunwoody's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-17. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Etowah, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Dunwoody will head out on the road to challenge South Cobb at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Etowah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
