The Eagleville Eagles will take on Middle Tennessee Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eagleville has ten straight wins, Middle Tennessee Monarchs has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Eagleville made easy work of Mt. Pleasant and carried off a 13-3 victory. Considering the Eagles have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Drake Rzemieniewski looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, Spencer Robbins was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Marshall Spann was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Eagleville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Middle Tennessee Monarchs' offense. They came up short against Sequatchie County on Saturday, falling 11-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which Middle Tennessee Monarchs was not able to get on the board.
Eagleville pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Middle Tennessee Monarchs, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Middle Tennessee Monarchs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eagleville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. It's a different story for Middle Tennessee Monarchs, though, as they've only averaged .216. Will they be able to contain Eagleville's hitters?
