Raymond Central is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Douglas County West: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Raymond Central blew Douglas County West out of the water with a 61-22 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 29 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Weeping Water didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Nebraska Lutheran on Friday, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Weeping Water's win came from a few key players Raymond Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kalison Miller, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinkley Mcadams, who put up 11 points.

Weeping Water's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Raymond Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
