Softball Recap: Aletheia Christian Academy Find Success

Aletheia Christian Academy barely beat Atmore Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Aletheia Christian Academy Lions put the hurt on the Atmore Christian Rams with a sharp 42-27 victory on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Aletheia Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Shelby Carmack, who got on base in seven of her nine plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and seven RBI. Another player making a difference was Allie Reeder, who got on base in eight of her nine plate appearances with one home run, eight runs, and three RBI.

Aletheia Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Atmore Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aletheia Christian Academy will host Atmore Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Atmore Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Central Christian at 7:00 p.m. Atmore Christian has given up an average of 15.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
