Basketball Recap: Lighthouse College Prep Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Whiting on Tuesday, Lighthouse College Prep Academy came back down to earth. The Lighthouse College Prep Academy Lions fell 55-43 to the Harlan Falcons on Wednesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Harlan was led to victory by Julius Jackson and Jameel Patterson. Jackson posted 20 points, while Patterson had 18 points. Jackson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hezikiah Cooks, who put up eight points.

Lighthouse College Prep Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Harlan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Lighthouse College Prep Academy has already played their next contest (against Lake Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Harlan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-51 loss against Southland College Prep on the 17th.
