Soccer Recap: Madera Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunnyside, Madera was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Hoover Patriots out 1-0. The Coyotes' winning goal came courtesy of JJ Lopez.

Madera's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-12-3. As for Hoover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madera will head out to square off against San Joaquin Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madera's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Hoover has already played their next game (against Sunnyside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
