Basketball Recap: Trinity Leadership Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

If A Plus Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Trinity Leadership, they should've done a better job of containing Caron McGee. The Trinity Leadership Tigers blew past the A Plus Academy Knights 100-36 on Friday thanks in part to McGee, who went 10 for 20 on his way to 30 points and three steals. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Darion Rodgers, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points in addition to six assists and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Trinity Leadership has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points per game. As for A Plus Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Trinity Leadership Tigers take on the Life Oak Cliff Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Trinity Leadership's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games. As for A Plus Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Gateway Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
