Soccer Game Preview: Riverton vs. Cedar Valley

The Riverton Silverwolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Cedar Valley Aviators at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Riverton had taken Salt Lake Academy down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Silverwolves fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Cedar Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain Ridge. That's two games in a row now that Cedar Valley have lost by exactly two goals.

Cedar Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Riverton, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Riverton got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Cedar Valley by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Silverwolves since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
