Volleyball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford lost against Avon Grove back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hornets lost 3-0 to the Red Devils.

Oxford took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-20.

Kaley Higgins paced Oxford's offense, picking up eight kills. Higgins got some help from Maycie Smith and her 15 assists. Fionna Reynolds controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1. As for Avon Grove, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Oxford will take on Chichester at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avon Grove, they will host Great Valley at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
