Basketball Game Preview: Blair Bears vs. Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride

Blair is 1-9 against Roncalli Catholic since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Blair Bears will head out to challenge the Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Blair is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 65-46 to Concordia. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Mustangs are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Roncalli Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 73-55 bruising from Bennington.

Blair's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Roncalli Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Blair came out on top in a nail-biter against Roncalli Catholic in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 62-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blair since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
