Winfield came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 47-7 victory over the Vinemont Eagles. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Among those leading the charge was Garret Beasley, who picked up 91 receiving yards and one score. Those 91 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Vinemont lost, don't look at Josh Rhodes. Despite the final result, he rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Winfield's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Vinemont, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
