Softball Recap: Thompson Falls Comes Up Short

Thompson Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ennis Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 on Friday.

Annalise Fairbank made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Olivia Fitchett, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Thompson Falls' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ennis, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Thompson Falls and Ennis will both be playing Three Forks the next time they take the field. Thompson Falls will head out to face Three Forks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Ennis will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on the 8th.
