Harrison had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs 49-14 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Harrison found their leader in sophomore Aiden Watson, who rushed for 72 yards and one score on only six carries, and also threw for 193 yards and one TD while completing 76.5% of his passes. Dj Huggins was another key player, gaining 111 total yards and two touchdowns.
Harrison was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 259 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennesaw Mountain only rushed for 111 rushing yards.
Harrison's defense made their presence known, laying out Chris (Smooth) Miller. 3.5 times. Leading the way was David Rudd with two sacks. Another thorn in Kennesaw Mountain's side was Olrick Johnson Iii, who picked up a sack and made 14 total tackles.
