Softball Recap: Paramus Catholic Comes Up Short

Paramus Catholic fell victim to Roxbury and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Gaels by a score of 2-0.

Dilynn Jeffries-El spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.

Paramus Catholic suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 11-3-1. As for Roxbury, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9-1.

Paramus Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Passaic Valley on the 4th. As for Roxbury, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against The Pingry School on the 4th.
