Volleyball Recap: Archangels Catholic Takes a Loss

Archangels Catholic lost against Riverside back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Defenders came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. The Defenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Kali Jarosz and Eva Klassen, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Tatum Classen and her 19 assists. Jarosz also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ella Foltz, each putting up two.

Leading Riverside to victory were Autumn Murphy and Brynn Seamann. Murphy had 14 digs and two aces, while Seamann had 11 digs and five assists. That's the most digs Murphy has posted over her last ten contests.

Archangels Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Riverside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Archangels Catholic has already played their next matchup (against Central Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wisner-Pilger on the 21st.
