Soccer Game Preview: George Washington vs. Battle Mountain

George Washington is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Patriots who were credited with the win. Two seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Battle Mountain came out on top. They blew past Palisade 5-1 on Thursday. Considering Battle Mountain have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Palisade with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carlos Ventura (2), Alan Lopez, Carlos Velasquez, and Ismael Quezada.

Battle Mountain's win bumped their record up to 10-4-2. As for George Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1.
