Elevation Prep Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They secured a 65-60 W over the Jackson Day Mariners.

Elevation Prep Academy was led to victory by DIDIER ILUNGA and KEVIN RODRIGUEZ. ILUNGA dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 boards, while RODRIGUEZ went 5-for-8 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was TAYVEON EPPS, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Elevation Prep Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Several Mariners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was DJ Clesca, who put up 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Crank, who scored 13 points.

Elevation Prep Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Jackson Day, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Elevation Prep Academy will venture away from home to square off against Winston Salem Christian National at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Honey Badgers will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.64 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jackson Day, they are taking a road trip to face off against Queen's Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mariners will need to watch out since the Stallions have now posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
