Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Manheim Township

Manheim Township entered their tilt with Cedar Crest on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Blue Streaks, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Braden Leed made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Angelo Billiard was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Alex Derderian, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
