Baseball Recap: LaSalle Academy Comes Up Short

If LaSalle Academy was feeling good fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Sacred Heart on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the Cathedral Prep Crusaders by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-5 loss last Monday.

LaSalle Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kerick Tejada, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

LaSalle Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Cathedral Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

LaSalle Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-10 win against Bishop Loughlin on the 21st. Cathedral Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
