Basketball Recap: Birchwood Takes a Loss

Birchwood was the 47-43 winner over Bruce when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Birchwood Bobcats took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruce Red Raiders on Tuesday.

Birchwood's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Bruce, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Birchwood will head out to square off against Cornell at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Birchwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Cornell likes a good challenge. As for Bruce, they will face off against Clayton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
