Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Madera South). They were the clear victors by  a  9-2 margin over the Kings Christian Crusaders on Monday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Stallions.
 Jeremiah Montes was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those  nine  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. He has become a key player for Madera South: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-18-1 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  David Moles, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in March.  Victor Palomino also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  triple of the season.
Madera South's record now sits at 5-19-1. As for Kings Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madera South will venture away from home to  take on Roosevelt  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Kings Christian, they will head out to  challenge Alpaugh  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday.
