Preview: Cook Hornets vs. Clinch County Panthers
The Cook Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clinch County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Cook didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Jeff Davis, but they still walked away with a 59-55 win. The win was just what Cook needed coming off of a 70-43 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Clinch County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Turner County 75-57.
Cook's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Clinch County, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
Cook beat Clinch County 65-54 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Cook repeat their success, or does Clinch County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
