Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin lost against Centennial last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Franklin took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centennial. The Admirals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Franklin got a good showing from Hudson Minor, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Minor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Andrew Dixon was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Franklin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-13 defeat against Ensworth on the 29th. As for Centennial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against Father Ryan on the 28th.
