Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. Seaman Vikings

The Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles will challenge the Seaman Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Carroll is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

Bishop Carroll's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against South as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

KJ McGill looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Bishop Carroll got a massive performance out of Isaac Lager, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that Lager hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Fulfer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Bishop Carroll hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Seaman and Lansing, and Seaman kept the tradition alive. The Vikings walked away with a 5-2 win over the Lions last Wednesday.

Bishop Carroll pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Seaman, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-2.
